COVID-19 SUCKS! You know it, I know it, we all know it.
Recently, there has been a spike in COVID-19 cases seen at Turk Express Care, and also in Glen Rose, Granbury and across the entire country.
Thankfully, we have Dr. Turk and his patient first mentality. Dr. Turk has taken the time to create an extremely helpful yet very practical list of ways to fight COVID at home.

Dr. Turk’s Ways to Fight COVID at home:
*Take Medications as prescribed
*Sleep on your stomach. If you can’t sleep on your stomach because of health issues, sleep
on your side. Do not lay on your back no matter what because it smashes your lungs and
that will allow fluid to set in.
*Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. This will help build your lungs,
plus help get rid of the Pneumonia or other fluid you may have.
*When sitting in a recliner, sit up straight -do not lay back, again this will smash your lungs
*While watching TV – get up and walk around during commercials.
*Eat eggs, bananas, avocados, and asparagus. These are a good source of potassium.
*Drink Pedialyte, Gatorade Zero, Powerade Zero, Body Armour Lyte, coconut water, or water
with Electrolytes to prevent dehydration.
*Drink room temp to warm water with lemon, honey, peppermint, tea, or apple cider.
*Drink a smoothie made with blueberries, strawberries, bananas, greens, honey, tea ,coconut
water, and one or two spoons of peanut butter.
*Avoid milk products
Take the following…

*Probiotic
*Tylenol for fever
*Mucinex helps with drainage and cough

*1 aspirin (only if adult) everyday can help prevent blood clots, which can occur from low
activity.
